For more than three decades, IDRC has supported Tunisian research in a wide variety of areas—from agriculture and water management to return migration and local development. More recently, IDRC-supported researchers have turned their attention to globalization, trade and economic policy, urban agriculture, information and communication technologies, and women’s economic rights.

In the face of complex challenges such as climate change, urban poverty, and persistent inequality, IDRC is supporting comprehensive research that brings together experts from various disciplines.
