IDRC’s Rural Poverty and Environment Program (RPE) successfully completed its 5 year program, ending March 31, 2010. Over that time the program funded a wide range of successful projects in issues related to environmental governance, resource access and use rights, integration with economic and social systems, and social learning and adaptation. We are proud of the research and achievement of the hundreds of researchers that carried out the projects that we funded. While the RPE program has concluded, research resources and project results will remain on the RPE website for the coming 2-3 months. After this time you will be able to access them in the IDRC Digital Library

We are pleased to announce that on April 1, 2010 IDRC launched a new and exciting program, Agriculture and Food security (AFS). Many but not all of the staff members from RPE are members of AFS. We invite you to visit the new website at: www.idrc.ca/afs, learn about the new staff members and subscribe to the newsletter.

Researchers from Southern organizations interested in applying for funding should follow the links below for specific guidelines. Canadian researchers interested in applying for funding from IDRC should review the information provided on “Information for Canadian Researchers.”
